Duplicate Bridge Every Friday - 7.15pm
The Ruff Club is a friendly club for playing duplicate bridge close to central London. We meet every Friday at the St. Pancras Community Centre, 30 Camden Street, London, NW1 0LG. Click here for a location map. The Centre is a short walk from Mornington Crescent or Camden Town underground stations and there is reasonable on-street parking in the evenings. New players and visitors to London are always welcome; you do not need a partner.

Starting time is 7.15pm. We play a full duplicate and aim to finish no later than 10.40pm. Players play as pairs. Come with a partner if you have one, but this is not neccessary and our hosting arrangement guarantees that partners will be available for single players. Table money is £5.00 per person per session including free tea and coffee.

Interested in playing duplicate bridge on a Monday evening? Click to Putney Bridge Club. Or a Tuesday daytime? Click to Bridge at Harrison’s.

The Ruff Club also meets on Wednesday evenings for Supervised Practice at the Princess of Wales pub, 22 Chalcot Road, NW1 8LL. This is on the corner of Fitzroy Road, click for map. It’s close to Chalk Farm Northern Line station, one stop north of Camden Town.

Suitable for novices, recent graduates from lessons, refreshers and anyone who enjoys social bridge with advice available as needed. New players always welcome! The Bridge Host/Tutor is Kit Jackson. Kit sends all players a weekly email bridge tip - but you need to go there to get on his list! Come any time from 7.15pm onwards (late arrivals welcome); no partner required – you will play with and against different players. We play in the cellar bar. Play continues until about 10.00pm but leave when you wish to/have to. Bridge fee £6.00.

Please do not consume any food or drink (including bottled water) not bought at the pub. There is also an open backgammon tournament in the pub the same evening (every Wednesday). Contact backgammon organiser Paul White for details 07908 069278.
